Strut, Suspension, Assembly: Removal
WARNING:
Do not remove nut from strut rod while strut assembly is installed in vehicle or before strut assembly spring is compressed.
- Raise and support vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Remove tire and wheel assembly. Refer to REMOVAL .
- Remove the knuckle assembly. Refer to KNUCKLE, STEERING, REMOVAL .
- Lower vehicle enough to access upper strut mount to body bolts.
- On the left side strut, remove the body control module On the right side strut, remove the glove box assembly. Refer to MODULE, BODY CONTROL (BCM), REMOVAL or GLOVE BOX, INSTRUMENT PANEL, REMOVAL .
- Remove the three (1) upper strut mount to body bolts.
- To disassemble strut assembly. Refer to STRUT, SUSPENSION, ASSEMBLY, DISASSEMBLY .
