Steering Gear

NOTE:

Do not disconnect the torque sensor (grey) harness connector and make sure it is connected properly.

  1. Remove the front crossmember. Refer to CROSSMEMBER, FRONT SUSPENSION, REMOVAL .

  2. Remove the steering gear heat shield bolts (1) and remove the shield (2).

  3. Remove the steering gear bolts (1) and remove the steering gear from the crossmember.
  4. Remove the outer tie rods. Refer to TIE ROD, STEERING, REMOVAL .
