Steering Gear

Install the outer tie rods. Refer to TIE ROD, STEERING, INSTALLATION .

Position the steering gear to the crossmember.
Install the steering gear bolts (1) and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .

Position the steering gear heat shield (2) to the steering gear.
Install the steering gear heat shield bolts (1) and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
Install the front crossmember. Refer to CROSSMEMBER, FRONT SUSPENSION, INSTALLATION .
Set toe to specifications. Refer to WHEEL ALIGNMENT, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
Perform the Electric Power Steering (EPS) steering angle calibration standard procedure. Refer to EPS - STEERING ANGLE CALIBRATION PROCEDURE .
