Drier, A/C Receiver: Removal

WARNING:

The A/C system contains refrigerant under high pressure. Repairs should only be performed by qualified service personnel. Serious or fatal injury may result from improper service procedures.

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Recover the refrigerant from the refrigerant system. Refer to REFRIGERANT SYSTEM RECOVERY .
  3. Remove the A/C condenser. Refer to CONDENSER, A/C, REMOVAL .
  4. Remove the protective cover (1) from the condenser, if equipped.

  5. Remove the clip (1) that secures the A/C receiver/drier inside the condenser.

  6. Remove the A/C receiver/drier (1) from the condenser.
