Pick-Up, Oil Pump: Installation

  1. Lightly lubricate the NEW  O-ring seal with engine oil and install on the oil pick-up tube.
  2. Install the oil pick-up tube (2) and tighten the oil pick-up tube bolt (3) to the proper specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  3. Install the oil pan. Refer to PAN, OIL, INSTALLATION .
  4. If removed, install the oil filter and fill the engine crankcase with the proper oil to the correct level. Refer to ENGINE OIL SERVICE .
  5. Run the engine until it reaches normal operating temperature.
