Pipe, Exhaust Extension: Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  2. Saturate the band clamp nut with rust penetrant. Allow five minutes for penetration.
  3. Remove the tailpipe. Refer to TAILPIPE, EXHAUST, REMOVAL .

  4. Remove the exhaust isolator (3) from exhaust extension pipe hanger rod.
  5. Loosen band clamp nut (1) and remove the exhaust extension pipe (2).
