Rear Catalytic Converter

Install a NEW gasket (2), catalytic converter bracket (3), and loosely install the catalytic converter bracket to cylinder bolts (1) to align the gasket. Tighten he catalytic converter bracket to cylinder head bolts (1) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
Install the catalytic converter into the catalytic converter bracket.
Install the left front halfshaft. Refer to INSTALLATION .

Install the upper catalytic converter to cylinder head bolts (1) and tighten upper catalytic converter to cylinder head bolts (1) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .

Install the catalytic convertor support bracket bolt (2) and tighten the catalytic convertor support bracket bolt (3) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
Install the upstream and down stream oxygen sensors. Refer to SENSOR, OXYGEN, INSTALLATION .
Install the crossunder pipe. Refer to PIPE, EXHAUST CROSSUNDER, INSTALLATION .
Check the exhaust system for contact with the body panels. Make the necessary adjustments, if needed.
Start the engine and inspect for exhaust leaks. Repair exhaust leaks as necessary.
