Cable, Hood Release: Removal

  1. Remove the fastener (1) and separate the hood release handle from the instrument panel.

  2. Disconnect the cable from the lever (1) and separate the cable housing (2) then remove the handle.

  3. Release the cable (1) from the retaining clips (3).
  4. Using a suitable tool push the cable grommet (2) through the dash panel.
  5. Remove the hood latch. Refer to LATCH, HOOD, REMOVAL .
  6. Note the hood release cable routing then remove from vehicle.
