Cable, Hood Release: Installation

From the front of vehicle push the hood release cable (1) through the hole in the dash panel and seat the grommet (2) fully.
Insert the hood release cable into the retaining clips (3).

Insert the hood release cable into the housing (2) and connect the hood release cable to the lever (1).

Position hood release handle on the instrument panel then insert fastener (1) and tighten securely.

Route hood release cable (1) as noted previously then through the upper radiator crossmember (2) as shown in illustration.
Install the hood latch. Refer to LATCH, HOOD, INSTALLATION .
