Latch, Hood: Installation

Connect the latch release cable (4) to the latch (2).
Install the latch (2) and loosely install the nuts (3).
If equipped, connect the wire harness connector (5).
Align the latch (2) with installation reference marks made previously and tighten the nuts (3) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
CAUTION:
Prior to fully closing the hood, verify that the striker and latch are in alignment.
If required, adjust the hood and/or latch to the correct position. Refer to GAP AND FLUSH, SPECIFICATIONS .
