Cable, Outside Handle: Removal

  1. Open sliding door.
  2. Remove the appropriate side door trim panel. Refer to PANEL, DOOR TRIM, REMOVAL .
  3. Disconnect the outside handle cable (3) from the handle assembly. Gently pry cable sleeve retainer out of the handle bracket and then unhook cable end from the handle.

  4. Disconnect the outside handle cable (1) from the latch assembly. Gently pry cable sleeve retainer out of the latch mounting bracket and then unhook cable end from the latch lever.
  5. Remove the outside handle cable from the side door.
