Hinge, Door: Removal

NOTE:

To protect the vehicle finish, apply several layers of masking tape on the front edges of the door and the front fender prior to loosening the hinges.

Remove the door. Refer to DOOR, REMOVAL .
Using a grease pencil or equivalent, mark the location of the door hinges on the door to aid installation.
Remove the bolts (1 and 2) and remove the hinges (3 and 4) as necessary.

If the vehicle build date is 3-31-2019 or earlier, with the use of a trim stick or equivalent, pry the plastic cap (1) off of the hinge stud (2) and discard.
If the vehicle build date is 3-31-2019 or earlier, Repeat on all front door hinges.
