Diagnostic Test
- CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC NOTE:
If DTC C0034-01 is present, perform the diagnostics for this DTC before continuing with this diagnostic procedure.
NOTE:This DTC must be active for the results of this test to be valid.
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, read ABS DTCs and record on the repair order.
- With the scan tool, erase ABS DTCs.CAUTION:
Make sure brake capability is available before road testing.
- Road test the vehicle over 40 km/h (25 mph).NOTE:
Vehicle must be driven above 40 km/h (25 mph) for two minutes before set conditions are met.
- With the scan tool, read ABS DTCs.
Did the DTC return?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Test Complete.
- VERIFY THE CORRECT RIGHT FRONT WHEEL SPEED SENSOR IS INSTALLED ON THE VEHICLE NOTE:
This vehicle uses directional front wheel speed sensors and non-directional rear wheel speed sensors.
- Verify the correct Right Front Wheel Speed Sensor is installed on the vehicle.
Is the Right Front Wheel Speed Sensor correct?
Yes
- Replace the Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) Module in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS), REMOVAL .
- Perform the ABS VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to ABS VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Install the correct Right Front Wheel Speed Sensor in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to SENSOR, WHEEL SPEED, FRONT, REMOVAL .
- Perform the ABS VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to ABS VERIFICATION TEST .
- Verify the correct Right Front Wheel Speed Sensor is installed on the vehicle.
