Tail Lamp

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the interior quarter trim panel to access the rear lamp unit. Refer to PANEL, QUARTER TRIM, REMOVAL .
  3. Disconnect the wiring harness connector (2) from the back of the tail lamp assembly.
  4. Remove the fasteners (1).

  5. Insert a trim stick or equivalent to gently pry the lamp unit (1) away from the body (3) and rotate the lamp away from the vehicle body to disengage the pins (2) from the grommet in the quarter panel opening.
  6. Disconnect any remaining wiring harness connectors from tail lamp assembly.
