Solenoid, Variable Valve Timing (VVTS): Removal

Remove the intake manifold. Refer to MANIFOLD, INTAKE, REMOVAL .
NOTE:
To remove the VVTS, the engine must be at room temperature.
Disconnect the VVTS electrical connector (1).
Remove the VVTS fastener (2).
Rotate the VVTS (3) to break the seal then pull the oil control valve straight out.
