Diagnostic Test
- CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Is the DTC active?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- The condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals, and correct pin tension. If no problems are found, test complete.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
- CHECK THE (X476) ANC MICROPHONE 4 (+) CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE
- Turn the ignition off.
- Disconnect the Amplifier C2 harness connector.
- Disconnect the ANC Microphone 4 harness connector.
- Turn the ignition on.
- Measure the voltage between ground and the (X476) ANC Microphone 4 (+) circuit at the Amplifier C2 harness connector.
Is there any voltage present?
Yes
- Repair the (X476) ANC Microphone 4 (+) circuit for a short to voltage.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Go To 3
- CHECK THE (X477) ANC MICROPHONE 4 (-) CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE
- Measure the voltage between ground and the (X477) ANC Microphone 4 (-) circuit at the Amplifier C2 harness connector.
Is there any voltage present?
Yes
- Repair the (X477) ANC Microphone 4 (-) circuit for a short to voltage.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Replace the Amplifier in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to AMPLIFIER, REMOVAL .
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
- Measure the voltage between ground and the (X477) ANC Microphone 4 (-) circuit at the Amplifier C2 harness connector.
