Diagnostic Test

CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
NOTE:
Verify the connection of the ANC Microphone 4 harness connector.
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, read DTCs.
  Is the DTC active?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 2
  No
  - The condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals, and correct pin tension. If no problems are found, test complete.
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
CHECK THE ANC MICROPHONE 4
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the ANC Microphone 4 harness connector.
3. Turn the ignition on.
4. Wait 10 seconds.
5. With the scan tool, read DTCs.
  Is the DTC active?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 3
  No
  - Replace the ANC Microphone 4 in accordance with the Service Information.
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
CHECK THE (X476) ANC MICROPHONE 4 (+) CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the Amplifier C2 harness connector.
3. Check for continuity between ground and the (X476) ANC Microphone 4 (+) circuit at the Amplifier C2 harness connector.
  Is there continuity between ground and the (X476) ANC Microphone 4 (+) circuit?
  
  Yes
  - Repair the (X476) ANC Microphone 4 (+) circuit for a short to ground.
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Go To 4
CHECK THE (X477) ANC MICROPHONE 4 (-) CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
1. Check for continuity between ground and the (X477) ANC Microphone 4 (-) circuit at the Amplifier C5 harness connector.
  Is there continuity between ground and the (X477) ANC Microphone 4 (-) circuit?
  
  Yes
  - Repair the (X477) ANC Microphone 4 (-) circuit for a short to ground.
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Replace the Amplifier in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to AMPLIFIER, REMOVAL .
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
