Valve, Exhaust Gas RECIRCULATION (EGR): Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the engine cover. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, REMOVAL .
  3. Disconnect the EGR valve wire harness connector.

  4. Remove the fasteners from the studs (1) and position the EGR cooler tube bracket (2) aside.

  5. Disconnect the EGR cooler hose (1) from the EGR valve.

  6. Remove the nuts and the EGR valve.
