Solenoid, Evaporative Emissions Purge: Removal: 3.6L

  1. Remove the engine cover. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, REMOVAL .
  2. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.

  3. Disconnect the wire harness connector (1) from the EVAP purge solenoid.

  4. Disconnect the vapor purge line (1) from the purge solenoid.

  5. Disengage the purge solenoid vacuum hose (1) and remove the purge solenoid (2) from the intake manifold.
