Diagnostic Test

  1. CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC 
    1. Turn the ignition on
    2. With the scan tool, read DTCs and record on the repair order.
      NOTE:

      It may be necessary to drive the vehicle to meet the conditions to set this DTC, try to repeat the conditions in which the fault originally set by reviewing the Freeze Frame data.

      Is the DTC active or pending?

      Yes 

      • Go To  2

      No 

  2. CHECK FOR OTHER DTCS 
    1. Refer to the recorded DTCs.

      Are there any Communication DTCs active or pending?

      Yes 

      • Perform the applicable diagnostic procedure(s). Refer to .

      No 

      • Go To  3
  3. CHECK THE BCM FOR INTELLIGENT BATTERY SENSOR CIRCUIT DTCS ACTIVE OR PENDING 

    Are any Intelligent Battery Sensor Circuit DTCs active or pending in the Body Control Module?

    Yes 

    No 

    • Go To  4
  4. VERIFY THE CORRECT BATTERY IS INSTALLED 
    1. Verify that the correct Battery is installed in the vehicle.

      Is the correct Battery installed?

      Yes 

      No
