DECKLID/Hatch/Liftgate/Tailgate/Swing Gate: Hinge: Removal

1. Remove the decklid hinge spring. Refer to HINGE, SPRING, REMOVAL .
2. Remove the rear shelf panel. Refer to PANEL, REAR SHELF, REMOVAL .
3. Remove the push fasteners (1) and the decklid hinge cover (2).

4. Remove the pull handle cover (1), remove the screws and the pull handle (2).
5. Remove the push fasteners (4) and the decklid trim cover (3).

6. Unclip the wire harness (4) from the decklid hinge (2).
7. Using a grease pencil or equivalent, mark the position of the decklid hinge on the decklid to aid in installation.
8. With the aid of an assistant supporting the decklid, remove the bolt and nut at the front of the decklid hinge.
9. Remove the two bolts (1) from the decklid hinge and remove.
