Test 30A: Air Bag Warning Light On Without Trouble Codes

NOTE:
Prior to performing any air bag system test, go to PRETEST INSPECTION & DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE under DIAGNOSTICS. Perform TEST VER-1: AIR BAG VERIFICATION TEST after all repairs unless otherwise directed.

Connect DRBIII to Data Link Connector (DLC). Turn ignition switch to ON position. Connect negative battery cable. On DRBIII, select PASSIVE RESTRAINTS, AIR BAG, MONITOR DISPLAY and WARNING LIGHT STATUS. If DRBIII displays LIGHT REQ BY ACM: ON, replace Air Bag Control Module (ACM). See AIR BAG CONTROL MODULE (ACM) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If DRBIII does not display LIGHT REQ BY ACM: ON, diagnose and repair instrument cluster and/or related circuits.
