Test VER-1: Air Bag Verification Test

  1. Remove all special tools and jumpers. Reconnect all previously disconnected components (except battery). Connect DRBIII to Data Link Connector (DLC). Turn ignition switch to ON position. Connect negative battery cable. Using DRBIII, erase stored Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
  2. Turn ignition off and wait 15 seconds. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Wait one minute. Read active DTCs. If DRBIII displays any active DTCs, go to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS) . If DRBIII does not display any active or stored DTCs, system is operating properly at this time.
