Control Circuit Testing

The starter control circuit components should be tested in the order in which they are listed, as follows:
- Starter Relay - See STARTER RELAY under COMPONENT TESTING.
- Starter Solenoid - See STARTER SOLENOID under COMPONENT TESTING.
- Ignition Switch - See IGNITION SWITCH in appropriate STEERING COLUMN SWITCHES article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT.
- Clutch Pedal Position Switch - Check adjustment and check for continuity change when clutch pedal is depressed.
- Wire harnesses and connections - See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
