Installation (4.7L)
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Dodge Dakota. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The throttle shaft end of throttle body slides into a socket in TP sensor. See Fig 1. The TP sensor must be installed so that it can be rotated a few degrees. If sensor will not rotate, install sensor with throttle shaft on other side of socket tangs. The TP sensor will be under slight tension when rotated.
- Install TP sensor and 2 retaining bolts. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Manually operate the throttle control lever by hand to check for any binding of the TP sensor.
- Connect TP sensor electrical connector to TP sensor. Install air duct/air box at throttle body.
