WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Dodge Dakota. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The throttle shaft end of the throttle body slides into a socket in the TP sensor. See Fig 1. The TP sensor must be installed so that it can be rotated a few degrees. If the sensor will not rotate, install the sensor with the throttle shaft on the other side of the socket tangs. The TP sensor will be under slight tension when rotated.
- Install the TP sensor and 2 retaining bolts. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Manually operate the throttle control lever by hand to check for any binding of the TP sensor.
- Connect TP sensor electrical connector to TP sensor. Install air duct at throttle body.
