Removal & Installation

Output shaft speed sensor is located on lower edge of overdrive case on rear of transmission. See Fig 1. Raise vehicle. Place a suitable fluid catch pan under the transmission. Disconnect electrical connector at output shaft speed sensor. See Fig 1 and Fig 2 . Remove the bolt holding the output speed sensor to the transmission case. Remove output shaft speed sensor with "O" ring from transmission case. To install, reverse removal procedure using NEW "O" ring. Tighten bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Verify the transmission fluid level and add fluid as necessary.
