Diagnostic Procedure

FRONT WIPER RELAY CONTROL CIRCUIT SHORTED TO GROUND - DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

| 1 | Turn the ignition on. With the DRBIII(R), erase DTCs. Cycle the ignition off and on, leaving ignition key on for at least 15 seconds. Operate the Wiper system in all modes. With the DRBIII(R), read DTCs. Does the DTC reset?

| 2 | Turn the ignition off. Disconnect the Wiper Relay. Disconnect the Central Timer Module. Measure the resistance between ground and the Wiper Relay Control circuit Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?

| 3 | Turn the ignition on. With the DRBIII(R), erase DTCs. Turn the ignition off. Install a substitute relay in place of the Front Wiper Relay. Turn the ignition on. Operate the front wiper system in all modes. With the DRBIII(R), read DTCs. Does the DTC reset?

| 4 | The conditions necessary to set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the schematics as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors specific to this circuit. Wiggle the wiring while checking for shorts and open circuits. Were there any problems found?
