Diagnostic Procedure

FRONT WASHER MOTOR INOP - DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE
| TEST | ACTION |

| 1 | Turn the ignition off. Disconnect the Front Washer Motor harness connector. Turn the ignition on. Using a 12-volt test light connected to ground, check the Front Washer Motor Driver circuit.
NOTE:
The test light must illuminate brightly. Compare the brightness to that of a direct connection to the battery. Activate the Front Washers. Does the test light illuminate brightly?

| 2 | Turn the ignition off. Disconnect the Front Washer Motor. Using a 12-volt test light connected to 12-volts, check the Front Washer Motor Ground circuit.
NOTE:
The test light must illuminate brightly. Compare the brightness to that of a direct connection to the battery. Does the test light illuminate brightly?

| 3 | Turn the ignition off. Disconnect the Front Wiper Switch harness connector. Connect a jumper wire between the Fused Ignition Switch Output circuit and the Front Washer motor Control circuit in the Front Wiper Switch harness connector. Turn the ignition on. Does the Front Washer Motor function?

| 4 | Turn the ignition off. Disconnect the Front Wiper Switch. Disconnect the Central Timer Module Measure the resistance of the Front Washer Motor Control circuit. Is the resistance above 5.0 ohms?

| 5 | Turn the ignition off. Disconnect the Front Washer Motor. Disconnect the Central Timer Module. Measure the resistance of the Front Washer Motor Driver circuit. Is the resistance above 5.0 ohms?

| 6 | Turn the ignition off. Disconnect the Front Wiper Switch. Using a 12-volt test light connected to ground, check the Fused Ignition Switch Output circuit.
NOTE:
The test light must illuminate brightly. Compare the brightness to that of a direct connection to the battery. Does the test light illuminate brightly?

| 7 | If there are no possible causes remaining, view repair.
