CYLINDER LOCK SWITCH FAILURE - DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

| 1 | Turn the ignition on. With the DRBIII(R), erase DTCs. Operate the door locks from both cylinder lock switches several times. With the DRBIII(R), read DTCs. Does the DRBIII(R) display CYLINDER LOCK SWITCH FAILURE?

| 2 | With the DRBIII(R) in Sensors, read the CYLINDER LOCK SWITCH Voltage. Select the Voltage that is present:

| 3 | Turn the ignition off. Disconnect the Central Timer Module C2 connector. Measure the resistance between ground and the Cylinder Lock Switch Mux circuit. Is the resistance below 500.0 ohms?

| 4 | Turn the ignition off. Disconnect the Central Timer Module C2 connector. Measure the resistance between ground and the Cylinder Lock Switch Mux circuit in the CTM C2 connector. Disconnect the Driver Cylinder Lock Switch and then the Passenger Cylinder Lock Switch while monitoring the Ohmmeter Did the resistance rise well above 500.0 ohms when one or both of the switches was disconnected?

| 5 | Turn the ignition off. Disconnect the Central Timer Module C2 connector. Measure the resistance between ground and the Cylinder Lock Switch Mux circuit in the CTM C2 connector. Is the resistance below 12000.0 ohms?

| 6 | Turn the ignition off. Disconnect the Central Timer Module C2 connector. Turn the ignition on. Measure the voltage of the Cylinder Lock Switch Mux circuit in the CTM C2 connector. Is there any voltage present?

| 7 | With the DRBIII(R), check the Vehicle Theft Security System (VTSS) status. Is the VTSS enabled?

| 8 | If there are no possible causes remaining, view repair.
