Diagnostic Procedure

ALL DOORS FAIL TO LOCK AND UNLOCK FROM BOTH CYLINDER LOCK SWITCHES - DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

TEST ACTION
1 Turn the ignition on.
With the DRBIII(R), read DTCs.
Does the DRBIII(R) display CYLINDER LOCK SWITCH FAILURE?
  1. Yes --> Refer to SYMPTOM: CYLINDER LOCK SWITCH FAILURE  in the POWER DOOR LOCK category.

    Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1  .

  2. No --> Go To 2
2 Turn the ignition on.
With the DRBIII(R), check the status of VTSS.
Does the DRBIII(R) display VTSS ENABLED?
  1. No --> With the DRBIII(R), enable VTSS.

    Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1  .

  2. Yes --> Go To 3
3 Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the CTM C2 connector.
Measure the resistance of the Cylinder Lock Switch Mux circuit in the CTM C2 connector.
Is the resistance below 12500.0 (12.5k) ohms?
  1. Yes --> Go To 4
  2. No --> Repair the Cylinder Lock Switch Mux circuit for an open.

    Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1  .

4 Disconnect the CTM C2 connector.
Turn the ignition on.
Measure the voltage of the Cylinder Lock Switch Mux circuit in the CTM C2 connector.
Is there any voltage present?
  1. Yes --> Repair the Cylinder Lock Switch Mux circuit for a short to voltage.

    Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1  .

  2. No --> Go To 5
5 If there are no possible causes remaining, view repair.
  1. Repair
    1. Replace the Central Tinier Module in accordance with the Service Information.
    2. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1  .
