Diagnostic Procedure

PARK LAMPS WILL NOT TURN OFF - DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

TEST ACTION
1 Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Headlamp Switch harness connector.
Disconnect the CTM C1 harness connector.
Do the Park Lamps turn off?
  1. Yes --> Repair the Park Lamp Switch Sense Circuit for a short to ground.

    Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1  .

  2. No --> Go To 2
2 Remove the Park Lamp Relay from the junction block.
Did the Park Lamps turn off?
  1. Yes --> Go To 3
  2. No --> Repair the Park Lamp Relay Output Circuit for a short to voltage.

    Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1  .

3 Turn the Headlamp Switch to the OFF position.
Measure the voltage of the Park Lamp Switch Sense circuit.
Is the voltage approximately 4.5 volts?
  1. Yes --> Go To 4
  2. No --> Replace the Headlamp Switch.

    Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1  .

4 Remove the Park Lamp Relay to begin this test.
Reinstall the Park Lamp Relay and listen for or feel the relay to click.
Does the relay click?
  1. Yes --> Replace the Central Timer Module.

    Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1  .

  2. No --> Replace the Park Lamp Relay.

    Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1  .
