Diagnostic Procedure

LOW BEAM HEADLAMPS WILL NOT TURN OFF - DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

TEST ACTION
1 Disconnect the Headlamp Switch harness connector.
Connect a jumper wire between ground and the Headlamp Switch Off Sense Circuit of the Headlamp Switch harness connector.
Did the Low Beam Headlamps turn off?
  1. Yes --> Go To 2
  2. No --> Repair the Headlamp Switch Off Sense Circuit for an open condition.

    Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1  .

2 Turn the Headlamp Switch to the OFF position.
Disconnect the Headlamp Switch harness connector.
Disconnect the Central Timer Module harness connector.
Measure the resistance of the Headlamp Switch Off Sense Circuit.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?
  1. Yes --> Replace the Central Tinier Module.

    Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1  .

  2. No --> Replace the Multifunction Switch.

    Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1  .
