Diagnostic Procedure

LOSS OF BATTERY #2 - DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

TEST ACTION
1 Turn the ignition on.
With the DRB, erase CTM DTC's.
Turn the ignition off then turn the ignition on and wait approximately 1 minute.
With the DRB, read CTM DTC's.
Did this DTC reset?
  1. Yes --> Go To 2
  2. No --> Check for an intermittent wiring condition. Refer to the SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS .

    Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1  .

2 Turn the ignition off.
Remove and inspect PDC fuse #12.
Is the fuse open?
  1. Yes --> Check the Fused B+ circuit for a short to ground. Replace PDC Fuse #12.

    Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1  .

  2. No --> Go To 3

NOTE: Ensure Fuse #12 is installed in the PDC.
Turn the ignition off.Disconnect the CTM C3 harness connector.Using a 12-volt test light connected to ground, probe the Fused B+ circuit (cavity 1).Is the test light illuminated?
  1. Yes --> Replace the Central Timer Module in accordance with the service information.

    Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1  .

  2. No --> Repair the Fused B+ circuit for an open.

    Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1  .
