Clutch, B: Assembly

NOTE:

If clutch discs are being replaced, soak in 8HP trans fluid before assembly.

  1. Position the input/output and the P4 annulus drum assembly on (special tool #8925-3, Assembly, Press Fixture) and (special tool #1130, Splitter, Bearing/Gear).

  2. Install the clutch B backing plate (1) onto the input/output shaft.

  3. Install the clutch B friction (3) and steel plates (2).

  4. Install the clutch B wave plate (1).

  5. Install the P1 annulus (1) onto the input/output shaft.

  6. Install the correct selectable shim (1)

    Refer to CLUTCH B MEASUREMENT  . Onto the P1 annulus.
