CROSSMEMBER, Headlamp Mounting: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the front fascia. Refer to FASCIA, FRONT, REMOVAL .
  3. Remove the headlight units.
  4. Disconnect the headlight wire harness from the horns.
  5. Remove the bolts that secure the horns to the headlight mounting crossmember and remove the horns.
  6. Mark the location of the hood latch (2) on the front of the headlight mounting crossmember (1) to aid in reinstallation.
  7. Remove the bolts (3) that secure the hood latch to the headlight mounting crossmember and position the hood latch and cable out of the way.

  8. Remove the bolts (2) the secure the radiator mounting brackets (1) to the headlight mounting crossmember.

    NOTE:

    Mark the location of the headlight mounting crossmember to the other body components prior to removal of the crossmember to aid in reinstallation.

  9. Mark the location of the headlight mounting crossmember to the front fenders.
  10. Remove the bolts (1) that secure the headlight mounting crossmember to the front fenders.
  11. Remove the bolts (2) that secure the headlight mounting crossmember to the front frame rails.
  12. Remove the headlight mounting crossmember from the engine compartment.
