Diagnostic Test

- ACTIVE DTC
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, navigate to Actuators and actuate the CNG Shutoff Relay to on or toggle.
- With the scan tool, view DTCs.
Is the status active or pending for this DTC?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Perform the INTERMITTENT CONDITION diagnostic procedure. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- CHECK THE (F342) FUSED ASD RELAY OUTPUT CIRCUIT VOLTAGE
- Turn the ignition off.
- Disconnect the CNG Shutoff Relay harness connector.
- Turn the ignition on.
- Measure the voltage of the (F342) Fused ASD Relay Output circuit at the CNG Shutoff Relay harness connector.
Is the voltage approximately equal to battery voltage?
Yes
- Go To 3
No
- Repair the (F342) Fused ASD Relay Output circuit for an open or high resistance. If the fuse is found to be blown, check the circuit for a short to ground.
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- CHECK THE (K600) CNG SHUTOFF CONTROL CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
- Turn the ignition off.
- Disconnect the PCM C2 harness connector.
- Measure the resistance between ground and the (K600) CNG Shutoff Control circuit at the Gasoline Fuel Injector Relay harness connector.
Is the resistance above 10k Ohms?
Yes
- Go To 4
No
- Repair the (K600) CNG Shutoff Control circuit for a short to ground.
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- CNG FUEL INJECTOR RELAY
- Turn the ignition off.
- Replace the CNG Shutoff Relay in accordance with the service information.
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
- With the scan tool, navigate to Actuators and actuate the CNG Shutoff Relay to on or toggle.
- With the scan tool, select view DTCs.
Did the DTC return?
Yes
- Replace the Powertrain Control Module in accordance with the service information.
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
No
- Repair complete.
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
