    CAUTION:

The tie straps used for securing the electric locker wiring harness in the differential are specifically designed to withstand the lubricant and operating temperatures inside the axle. Always use the correct tie straps specified in the parts catalog and follow the installation instructions. Failure to do so may result in subsequent damage.

    NOTE:

The electric locker harness (1) must be free to move when the tie strap (5) is installed.

  11. Secure the electric locker internal harness (1) to the adjuster lock using the following procedure:
    • loosely install the tie strap around the harness (1) and the upper leg of the left side bearing adjuster lock
    • insert a 1/4" hex key (3) in the loop of tie strap (5)
    • position the hex key (3) on the differential cover gasket surface (4) and the adjuster lock bolt (2)
    • tighten the tie strap (5) securely
    • remove the hex key (3)
