Booster, Power Brake: Removal

1 - MOUNTING NUT
2 - POWER BRAKE BOOSTER
  1. Remove the master cylinder. Refer to MASTER CYLINDER, BRAKE, REMOVAL .
  2. Disconnect the vacuum line at the booster.
  3. Remove the clip securing the booster push rod to the brake pedal.
  4. Remove the brake lamp switch. Refer to SWITCH, BRAKE FLUID LEVEL, REMOVAL .
    NOTE:

    Do not discard the stop lamp switch as it can be adjusted and reinstalled. 

  5. Remove the nuts (1) from the booster mounting studs.
  6. Remove the booster (2) and gasket from front cowl panel.
