Tube(S), Fuel: Installation

- Install two new sealing washers to fuel line banjo bolt connecting injection pump to fuel rail. Tighten to 24 N.m (18 ft. lbs.).CAUTION:
Anytime a high-pressure line is removed from the engine, its fuel connector nut (12) at the cylinder head must first be re-torqued.
- Tighten union nuts (12) at high pressure injector connector nut at the cylinder head to 50 N.m (37 ft. lbs.).NOTE:
Use care not to bend fuel tubs when installing.
- Install proper fuel tube to proper injector on engine. Tighten fittings hand tight at both ends of line.
- Tighten fuel tube nut at the cylinder head to 40 N.m (30 ft. lbs.).
- Tighten fuel tube nuts at the fuel rail to 40 N.m (30 ft. lbs.).
- If fuel tube at No. 6 cylinder has been replaced, tilt metal bracket (5) upward and tighten two bolts (4) at rear of cylinder head. Tighten to 43 N.m (32 ft. lbs.).
- If necessary, install intake manifold. Refer to INSTALLATION

- Install the oil dipstick bolt and nut:
- Tighten bolt to 24 N.m (18 ft. lbs.).
- Tighten nut to 9 N.m (80 in. lbs.).
- Connect necessary wiring harness retention clips to the intake manifold.
- Connect the fuel pressure sensor harness connector (2).
- Install the fuel tube silencer.
- Install the CCV oil drains hoses (1, 2) to cylinder head cover.
- Connect both fuel injector harness connectors (1).
- Connect the crankcase pressure sensor 1 wire harness connector (7).
- Connect the crankcase pressure sensor 2 wire harness connector (1).
- Connect the EGR cooler bypass valve wire harness connector (1).
- Connect the exhaust pressure sensor wire harness connector (2).
- Position the bulk head connector (1) and install a new cable tie to secure.
- Connect both of the negative battery cables.
- Prime fuel system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Check lines/fittings for leaks.
- Install the fuel injector silencer.
- Install the engine cover (3). Tighten bolts (1) to 10 N.m (89 in. lbs.).
- Install the oil dipstick (2).
