Manifold, Intake: Installation

  1. Clean all gasket mating surfaces.
  2. Using a NEW  gasket (7), install the intake manifold (2). Tighten the bolts (1) to 24 N.m (18 ft. lbs.).
  3. Install the bolt securing the oil dip stick tube-to-intake manifold and tighten to 24 N.m (18 ft. lbs.).

  4. Connect the EGR valve wire harness connector (1).

  5. Connect EGR air flow control valve wire harness connector (2).
  6. Install the Charge Air Cooler (CAC) hose (3) to the EGR air flow control valve. Tighten the clamp (1) to 14 N.m (10 ft. lbs.).

  7. Install the EGR airflow control valve shield (2). Tighten the bolt (3) and nut (1) to 10 N.m (89 in. lbs.).

  8. Attach the wire harness retainers (1) to the stud.
  9. Install the EGR crossover tube. Refer to TUBE, EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION (EGR), CROSSOVER, INSTALLATION .
  10. Connect both negative battery cables.
