High Output Engine

  1. Remove the transmission (Refer to 66RFE Transmission REMOVAL and BW44-46 Transfer Case REMOVAL or BW44-47 Transfer Case REMOVAL ).
  2. Paint mark the flex plate hub to flex plate relation.
  3. Remove bolts (5), clamping ring (4), large friction shim (3), flex plate (2) and the small friction shim (1).
  4. Inspect flex plate for damage.
