Non-High Output Engine

NOTE:

A new bolts (1), clamp ring (2) must be used anytime the flex plate has been removed. Do not lubricate new bolts as they are already coated with an anti-scuff treatment.

NOTE:

Align the flex plate to hub paint marks, where applicable.

  1. Install the flex plate (4), friction shim (3), clamping ring (2) and tighten bolts (1) finger tight.
  2. Use a crisscross pattern to tighten bolts to 137 N.m (101 ft. lbs.).
  3. Install the transmission (Refer to 66RFE Transmission INSTALLATION and BW44-46 Transfer Case INSTALLATION or BW44-47 Transfer Case INSTALLATION ).
