Plate, Transmission Adapter: Removal

Remove the flex plate. Refer to FLEXPLATE, REMOVAL, 6.7L .
On manual transmission models, remove the flywheel. Refer to FLYWHEEL, REMOVAL .
Remove the starter motor. Refer to STARTER, REMOVAL .

If equipped, remove the left engine block stiffener bolts (2).

If equipped, remove the right engine block stiffener bolts (2).

If equipped, remove the bolts (2) and the top engine block stiffener (1).

Remove the bolts (2) and the transmission adapter plate (1).

Remove and discard the camshaft O-ring seal (1).
