Arm, Control With ARTICULINK: Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  2. Paint or scribe alignment marks on the cam adjusters and control arm for installation reference.
    NOTE:

    DISCARD  the nuts and bolts and do not reuse. NEW  nuts and bolts should be used when replacing or servicing the control arms.

  3. Support the front axle by placing a jack stand under the side of the axle that is being worked on.
  4. Remove the articulink. Refer to ARTICULINK, REMOVAL .

  5. Remove the control arm to axle nut (2), cam, and cam bolt.
  6. Remove the control arm to frame bolt (1) and the control arm to frame nut.
