Cooler, Power Steering: Removal: Gas

  1. Drain and siphon the power steering fluid.
  2. Remove the grille. Refer to GRILLE, REMOVAL .
  3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  4. If equipped, remove the eight lower engine splash shield push pins (1) and remove the splash shield (2).
  5. Disconnect the return and supply hoses connected to the power steering fluid cooler lines.

  6. Remove the mounting bracket bolts (1) securing the fluid cooler (2) to the brace.
  7. Remove the fluid cooler (2) from the vehicle.
