Diagnostic Test

- CHECK FOR ACTIVE DTC NOTE:
If DTCs P24D0, P24AE, U04A4, or U02A3 are present, perform the diagnostics for those DTCs before continuing with this one.
- Ignition on, engine not running.
- Using the scan tool, record all Freezeframe Data.
- Using the scan tool, erase DTCs.
- Turn the ignition off for 75 seconds.
- Turn the ignition on, idle the engine to operating temperature.
- Test drive the vehicle under steady state operating conditions for 10-15 minutes.
- Using the scan tool, read DTCs.
Is this DTC active?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Perform the INTERMITTENT CONDITION diagnostic procedure. Refer to INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
- CHECK FOR TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN OR SOFTWARE UPDATE
- Check for any applicable Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) or PCM Software Updates.
Are there any TSBs or PCM software updates that address this DTC?
Yes
- Perform the appropriate repair outlined in the TSB.
- If there is a software update, use the scan tool to reflash the PCM with the latest calibration.
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Replace the Particulate Matter (PM) Sensor in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to SENSOR, PARTICULATE MATTER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
- Check for any applicable Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) or PCM Software Updates.
