Diagnostic Test

  1. CHECK FOR ACTIVE DTC 
    NOTE:

    If DTCs P24D0, P24AE, U04A4, or U02A3 are present, perform the diagnostics for those DTCs before continuing with this one.

    1. Ignition on, engine not running.
    2. Using the scan tool, record all Freezeframe Data.
    3. Using the scan tool, erase DTCs.
    4. Turn the ignition off for 75 seconds.
    5. Turn the ignition on, idle the engine to operating temperature.
    6. Test drive the vehicle under steady state operating conditions for 10-15 minutes.
    7. Using the scan tool, read DTCs.

      Is this DTC active?

      Yes 

      • Go To  2

      No 

  2. CHECK FOR TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN OR SOFTWARE UPDATE 
    1. Check for any applicable Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) or PCM Software Updates.

      Are there any TSBs or PCM software updates that address this DTC?

      Yes 

      • Perform the appropriate repair outlined in the TSB.
      • If there is a software update, use the scan tool to reflash the PCM with the latest calibration.
      • Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
