Removal And Installation

REMOVAL
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable(s). Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Remove the clean air hose. Refer to HOSE, CLEAN AIR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION, 6.7L .
- Disconnect the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor wire harness connector (1).
- Disconnect the Temperature/Barometric Absolute Pressure (T/BAP) sensor wire harness connector (2).
- Detach the wire harness (3) from the clean air hose.
- Remove the 14 push pins (1) and the radiator closure (2).
- Remove the two bolts (1) securing the intake air tube (3).
- Lift up on the air cleaner body (2) with intake air tube (3).
INSTALLATION
- Install the air cleaner body (2) with intake air tube (3) and push down to lock in place.
- Install the two bolts (2) securing the intake air tube (3) and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the radiator closure (2) with the 14 push pins (1).
- Attach the wire harness (3) to the clean air hose.
- Connect the Temperature/Barometric Absolute Pressure (T/BAP) sensor wire harness connector (2).
- Connect the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor wire harness connector (1).
- Install the clean air hose. Refer to HOSE, CLEAN AIR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION, 6.7L .
- Connect the negative battery cable(s). Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
