Removal And Installation

REMOVAL 

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable(s). Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  2. Remove the clean air hose. Refer to HOSE, CLEAN AIR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION, 6.7L .

  3. Disconnect the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor wire harness connector (1).
  4. Disconnect the Temperature/Barometric Absolute Pressure (T/BAP) sensor wire harness connector (2).
  5. Detach the wire harness (3) from the clean air hose.

  6. Remove the 14 push pins (1) and the radiator closure (2).

  7. Remove the two bolts (1) securing the intake air tube (3).
  8. Lift up on the air cleaner body (2) with intake air tube (3).

INSTALLATION

  1. Install the air cleaner body (2) with intake air tube (3) and push down to lock in place.
  2. Install the two bolts (2) securing the intake air tube (3) and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .

  3. Install the radiator closure (2) with the 14 push pins (1).

  4. Attach the wire harness (3) to the clean air hose.
  5. Connect the Temperature/Barometric Absolute Pressure (T/BAP) sensor wire harness connector (2).
  6. Connect the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor wire harness connector (1).
  7. Install the clean air hose. Refer to HOSE, CLEAN AIR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION, 6.7L .
  8. Connect the negative battery cable(s). Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
