Section 79 (Interior & Exterior (1 Of 2)): Exterior: Fender-Front: Removal

  1. Remove the headlamp housing from the side of the vehicle being serviced. (Refer to ELECTRICAL/LAMPS/LIGHTING - EXTERIOR/HEADLAMP UNIT - REMOVAL) .
  2. Raise and support the vehicle.
  3. If servicing the right front fender, remove the right side rail splash shield (Refer to BODY/EXTERIOR/SPLASH SHIELD-RIGHT SIDE RAIL - REMOVAL) .
  4. Remove the front wheelhouse splash shield from the side of the vehicle being serviced (Refer to BODY/EXTERIOR/SPLASH SHIELD-FRONT WHEELHOUSE - REMOVAL) .
  5. If servicing the right front fender, remove the antenna body and cable.
  6. Remove the three fender to fascia nuts (Refer to FRAME & BUMPERS/BUMPERS/FASCIA-FRONT - REMOVAL) .
  7. Remove the two bolts (4) that secure the bottom of the front fender (3) to the lower rocker panel.
  8. Remove the bolt (5) that secures rear of the front fender to the side cowl panel.
  9. Remove the nut (6) that secures the front of the front fender to the frame support bracket (7).
  10. Remove the three bolts (2) that secure the top of the front fender to the three spring nuts (1) and remove the fender.
