Section 78 (HVAC Systems (Service Information)): Distribution: Outlets-Air: Removal

NOTE: Center bezel air outlet shown in illustration. Other instrument panel air outlets similar.

  1. Depending on the air outlet being serviced, remove the instrument cluster bezel (Refer to BODY/INSTRUMENT PANEL/BEZEL-CLUSTER - REMOVAL) , instrument panel center bezel (Refer to BODY/INSTRUMENT PANEL/BEZEL-CENTER - REMOVAL) or the passenger side airbag cover (Refer to ELECTRICAL/RESTRAINTS/COVER-PASSENGER AIRBAG - REMOVAL) .
    NOTE: If the foam seal on the air outlet is deformed or damaged, it must be replaced.
  2. Remove the three screws or nuts (1) (depending on application) that secure the air outlet(s) (2) to the bezel or cover (3) (depending on application) and remove the outlet(s).
